3L turbo-diesel engine

The New Look MU-X sports a dependable 3.0L 4JJ3 turbo-diesel engine with a high-pressure injector system, electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger and engine internals, maintaining class-leading dependability.

Terrain command

The terrain command dial in the New Look MU-X allows you to shift between 2WD and 4WD Hi mode on the move (up to 100km/h) for improved traction when driving conditions change.

3,500kg towing ability

Your search for the perfect traveling companion is over. The New Look MU-X can seat up to 7 people, and tow up to 3,500kg. Isuzu’s legendary 3-litre turbo diesel engine delivers high torque across the range, making light work of a caravan, boat, or trailer. Trailer Sway Control (TSC) assists with towing in high winds or on uneven surfaces.

Off-road performance

The New Look MU-X go-anywhere ability provides you with a 7-seater SUV that is as at home up in the backcountry hills as it is out on State Highway One. Wading depth is 800mm for those extra deep crossings, and the New Look MU-X includes a rear differential lock for improved traction on slippery surfaces.

For on-road excursions, there is a range of electronic driving aids to keep you on the straight and narrow.

6-speed transmission

Whether the Isuzu New Look MU-X is used for work or play, its 6-speed automatic transmission offers ease of operation while providing vehicle driveability and flexibility.

Hill descent control

This feature electronically applies the brakes to ensure a smooth, controlled descent, giving you the confidence to tackle the trickiest downhill terrain.

TECHNOLOGY

The New Look MU-X brings an entire new level of technology. As standard, the New Look MU-X has a 9.0″ touchscreen with
inbuilt satellite navigation, 360 surround view camera system, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto phone mirroring
capability – allowing you to project sat nav directions, play your music, make and receive calls and more.

 

For the owner that spends plenty of time on the open road, the New Look MU-X also includes adaptive
cruise control which automatically adjusts your speed depending on the vehicle in front of you.

Standard across the range, Isuzu’s Intelligent Driver Assistance System (IDAS) technology includes an extensive list of both active and passive safety systems.
Employing state-of-the-art sensors and a stereo camera, IDAS constantly monitors your surrounding environment for danger. Should it detect a
collision is imminent, the system will work to help the driver to defuse dangerous situations via alert systems and automated functions.

Each New Look MU-X model includes eight airbags as standard and a stronger, more robust chassis,
as well as a reinforced cabin safety cell for ultimate protection.

 

And to prove its credentials, the New Look MU-X has achieved a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control

Automatically adjusts your speed based on vehicles around you when cruise-control is activated making open road driving a breeze.

Driver Attention Assist (DAA)

Your New Look MU-X recognises traffic signs, displaying information such as speed limits in the Multi-Information Display (MID) for easy reference.

Mis-Acceleration Mitigation

In slow-moving areas such as car parks, the stereo cameras determine whether the accelerator has been applied accidentally. Should a potential collision be detected, the brakes are automatically applied.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

If your New Look MU-X detects a potential collision, your New Look MU-X will first apply a Forward Collision Warning (FCW), then emergency braking is applied automatically, keeping you and others safe out on the road.

Lane Keeping Assist System

Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) work to help prevent collisions with other drivers should your New Look MU-X begin to drift across its lane.

Blind Spot Monitoring System (BSM)

BSM provides a visual warning in your side mirrors when an obstacle is approaching in your blind spot.
